|►Individuals must be 18 years of age or must have attained 16 years of age and not be enrolled or required to be enrolled in secondary school under state law. If under 18 years of age, written consent is required prior to registration. Please call 703.791.7357 for additional information
►Individuals must register in person at the Adult Learning Center prior to the test date. Only people registering for the test will be permitted to attend. No children allowed. Late arrivals will not be allowed to register. Allow approximately 1 1/2 hours for registration. Registration will be held on the following dates and times:
(When Prince William County Schools are closed due to inclement weather, registration will be canceled.)
►Bring your valid driver's license, passport, military ID, or other form of government-issued (national or foreign) identification that shows name, address, date of birth, signature, and photograph.
►Bring a cashier's check or money order (no cash, debit/credit cards, or personal checks) made payable to Prince William County Schools for $58.00 for the entire test ($10.00 for each subject area retest).

You should receive your test scores within one week after taking the test.
Upon successful completion, a GED Certificate is awarded by the Virginia State Department of Education. The GED is widely accepted by employers and colleges.
Individuals may test only three times during one calendar year (January - December).
Reasonable accommodations are available upon request to individuals who qualify.
►No cell phones are permitted in the testing center.
The GED® Tests are changing in 2014. If you do not pass by December 31, 2013, you will have to repeat all five subjects.
|Test Type and Length|
The GED Test is a battery of five comprehensive tests in mathematics, writing, reading, social studies, and science. The test is designed to measure skills that are acquired during four years of high school.
